I use Fido’s 3G network, and I’ve used the voip on 3g as a demo to some of my tech savvy friends, and honestly, its usable. I can’t comment on how consistent it would be though as I’ve only tried it for demoing.

Hi Jared, thanks for the post.

Have you tried making outbound calls over 3G? I’m using an older Nokia phone which only supports EDGE, so I use VoIP over Wifi. I’d consider upgrading to an e71 if VoIP-over-3G worked well in a pinch.

Thank-you very much! This configuration works perfectly with Unlimitel on my Nokia E90 and should (I assume) work for any of the s60 phones with a built in SIP client.
